National Sari Day

Someone at work declared today National Sari Day. In honor of the event, we donned our best saris. I left mine at home, so I resorted to the good ol' kurta pajama backup option.

Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary

Today, a motley crew of work colleagues and friends joined me on a day trip to Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary. I was pessimistic about our chances of having a good time. Maybe it's because the words "bird sanctuary" don't exactly exude fun and excitement; it sounds more like a feather-littered cemetery and less like an exotic wildlife zoo.

I was pleasantly surprised.
